«Here is my secret,» 80 years of «The Little Prince» with an interactive and participatory exhibition at the Cultural Factory

A collaboration with fashion designer Maite Capín, in which she investigates the poetic gaze of the character created by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The immortal work of universal literature, «The Little Prince» by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was first published in 1943. In celebration of its 80th birthday, the Cultural Factory of Avilés and fashion designer Maite Capín are launching «Here is my secret: only with the heart can one see well. The special is invisible to the eyes,» an interactive and participatory exhibition that opens this Friday, January 26, at 6:00 p.m.
Capín, actress, casting director, costume designer (for example, for the film «Jacob’s Crossword Puzzle,» for which she was nominated for a Goya award), among other artistic facets, proposes in her collaboration with the Factory an installation that brings the character’s worlds directly to the public.
Like the book, the exhibition is intended for both children and adults. Fragments from the story of the Little Prince’s travels from the poetic and philosophical perspective extracted from the book will be reproduced on the walls of the room, transporting everyone who comes to experience its unmistakable universe: the rose, the fox, the snake, the planets and their inhabitants, the baobabs…
A living exhibition, which will be enriched by the participation of those who come to enjoy it, as they will be able to interpret each sentence through drawing and illustration.
The exhibition can be visited at the Cultural Factory (Avenida de Portugal, 13) until February 16, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
