Después de la victoria de los suyos ante el Sporting de Gijón, el técnico azul reconoce que “tras el pitido final, sentí una alegría tremenda. Es mi primer derbi y me he dado cuenta de la magnitud que tiene. La llegada al campo fue emocionante y el partido tuvo mucha tensión. No parecía un partido de fútbol, parecía otra cosa”.
Sobre el ambiente, Cervera considera que “ha sido extraordinario, y yo he tenido la suerte de haberlo vivido, lo podré contar. No fue nuestro mejor partido, pero ganamos”.
En cuanto a la lectura del choque, el entrenador azul cree que “no empezamos bien, ellos fueron mejores y hubo un momento en el que dijimos tenemos que esperar. Ellos tuvieron más llegada, pero los partidos tan intensos hay que ganarlos y lo hemos hecho”, sentenciaba.
