O2 se ha adherido al programa de emisión de bonos de conectividad digital (bonos digitales), financiados por la Unión Europea y gestionados por las Comunidades Autónomas, para ayudar a personas o unidades familiares vulnerables.

Este programa, al que se ha sumado O2 para aplicarlo a sus clientes, concede subvenciones gestionadas por las Comunidades Autónomas y dotadas de 240€ anuales. Con estos bonos digitales, los beneficiarios de dicha subvención pueden tener un descuento de 20 euros al mes (antes de impuestos) en sus tarifas, aplicándose directamente en las facturas de O2.

Las primeras comunidades autónomas en las que O2 va a participar son La Rioja, Galicia, Murcia y Castilla La Mancha. Cada comunidad autónoma cuenta con sus propias bases reguladoras y criterios para determinar el número de bonos totales que otorgan y la definición de colectivo vulnerable.

El Bono Digital Europeo estará disponible para productos de solo Fibra o Fibra y Móvil y será válido hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2023. Por ejemplo, si un cliente realiza una contratación el día 25 de noviembre de 2022, podrá beneficiarte del Bono Digital hasta el 25 de diciembre de 2023.

Para poder disfrutar del Bono Digital Europeo con O2 es necesario que los usuarios soliciten esta subvención en la Comunidad Autónoma correspondiente. Una vez que el solicitante recibe la comunicación de la concesión de dicho bono, tiene que llamar al 1551 para poder contratar una tarifa de Solo Fibra o Fibra y Móvil de O2 y así formalizar que todos los meses recibirá un descuento de 20€ (impuestos no incluidos) en la factura de O2.

The European Union (EU) recently welcomed O2 as the latest company to join its digital voucher program for vulnerable communities. Through the program, O2 will offer more than 40,000 digital vouchers of up to €50 each to vulnerable individuals and groups in the UK.

This effort is the latest in the EU’s larger aim of providing digital vouchers to citizens in vulnerable situations throughout the region. All EU citizens, regardless of their social group, should be able to access the same opportunities and resources available to them.

O2’s contribution to the voucher program will help bridge this access gap, and aid in the EU’s mission of reducing digital exclusion and inequality. Moreover, it also extends to training and support for those who are disadvantaged.

The program is another step in building a more equitable society across the EU and beyond. With O2’s support, more vulnerable individuals and groups will have access to the same digital opportunities as their peers within the EU.
