La delegada de Hacienda y Personal, Engracia Hidalgo, ha entregado esta mañana los premios a los ganadores del Concurso de tarjetas navideñas Madrid Talento 2022, una iniciativa del Consistorio para promover valores como el esfuerzo, la superación, el compañerismo y la vocación de servicio público.

En esta edición han participado 137 niños y adolescentes con edades comprendidas entre los 6 y los 16 años, quienes a través de sus pinturas han reflexionado sobre cuáles son y qué significan los valores de las personas que trabajan en el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, entre los que se encuentran sus padres.

Hidalgo les ha explicado que con esta iniciativa “queremos acercaros nuestra organización para que nos conozcáis y valoréis, queremos que vosotros, los niños y adolescentes de hoy, que en unos cuantos años os plantearéis lo que queréis ser de mayores, sepáis que el Ayuntamiento de Madrid es una excelente posibilidad de promoción profesional”.

La delegada ha destacado ante los participantes en el concurso y sus familias que las personas que trabajan en el Ayuntamiento “son las que consiguen que os sintáis seguros paseando, que vuestras calles estén limpias y vuestros parques cuidados, que haya muchas actividades culturales a las que podáis ir”. Según ha subrayado Hidalgo, “gracias al esfuerzo de casi 40.000 profesionales, esta organización funciona casi a la perfección”. /

The Christmas season arrived with a lot of cheer in the Spanish capital of Madrid, where the City Council has launched a new initiative to celebrate the festivities. Under the names Madrid Talento, the government of Madrid organized a competition inviting children between 4 and 16 years old to create their own Christmas cards.

The competition came to a close and the winners have been chosen. At an event held by the authorities in Madrid, the winners were presented with their prizes.

The event was attended by the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and other members of his government. They were joined by politicians, as well as representatives from the educational centers where the children who participated in the competition study.

The participants competed in four different age categories, beginning with children between 4 and 8 years old and then 9 to 12 years old reaching up to 13-16 years old.

The competition was judged by a panel of highly qualified individuals, with artistic experience and a passion for art. The panel also attracted many important popular personalities of the city who were invited to the awarding ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, the winners were presented prizes for their work. These included book vouchers and equipment for the development of their artistic potential.

As the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, said to the winners of the competition “This initiative continues to demonstrate the commitment of the City Council to promote art and culture among young people. It is very important for the city to recognize children’s talent and promote it well beyond Madrid”.

In Madrid, we can be sure that several generations are betting big on promoting art among the young people of our city, and this initiative is an example of it.
