Movistar + 5S Telefónica is among the top 10 social initiatives of 2016 selected by the magazine Entrepreneurial Compromise and the CAF-Latin American Development Bank. Movistar + 5S, the first TV platform with accessible content, allows its clients with sensorial disabilities access to films, series and documentary of premiere thanks to the incorporation of three systems of accessibility: sign language, subtitles or audio description.

Movistar + 5S was born in 2016 thanks to the collaboration of Telefónica with the company WhatsCine, Carlos III University and the main associations and organizations of the disability, who have shown their satisfaction for the initiative, convinced that the digital technologies can improve the life extraordinarily Of the more than 2 million people with sensory disabilities living alone in Spain.

Currently Movistar + 5S already offers more than 1,073 accessible content and continues to work to incorporate to the system and platform the improvements that users with disabilities themselves demand.
