El entrenador del Real Oviedo, Álvaro Cervera, compareció en la sala de prensa del Carlos Tartiere, después del pase de su equipo a una nueva ronda de Copa del Rey.
Tras haber ganado por 1-0 al Granada, el técnico oviedista ha analizado el choque de su equipo “hemos comenzado bien, hemos parado a un buen equipo, pero luego con los cambios mejoraron y nos obligaron a defender. El único pero es que no hemos cerrado las contras que creamos, que para mí eran muy claras. Tenemos que trabajar eso, nos cuesta tenerla más tiempo”.
En cuanto al partido de Koba, de Tomeu y de Oier Luego, Álvaro Cervera destacó que “A Koba le falta físico, pero si se pone bien es un buen jugador. Para mí donde ha jugado hoy es su posición, no se cansa defendiendo y juega cerca del área. Tomeu ha estado espectacular, me alegro por él, es un gran chaval. Ha sido ejemplar desde el momento en el que tomé la decisión. Oier estuvo bien, ya que somos un equipo que utilizamos a todos los jugadores”.
Sobre la evolución del equipo, el entrenador del Real Oviedo cree que “todos nos ven mejor. Tenemos gente parada, pero creo que todavía hay margen de mejora”.
Finalmente, preguntado por el sorteo, Álvaro Cervera asegura que “no sé quién están en el bombo. Si jugamos contra uno de Primera, el que toque, bienvenido sea. Ahora solo pienso en LaLiga, en el Andorra, que va a ser un partido complicado”, sentenciaba.
