El distrito de Tetuán ya tiene ganadores del III Certamen de Escaparates Navideños. El fallo del jurado ha recaído este año en la Cestería Lino por el carácter artístico de la composición, la armonía del conjunto, la iluminación, así como la creatividad y diseño. Así se lo ha comunicado la concejala del distrito, Blanca Pinedo, a sus responsables durante una visita al establecimiento.
Ubicado en la calle Capitán Blanco Argibay desde el año 2000, sus orígenes se remontan al año 1915, cuando el primer regente del negocio, Lino Palacios, inició su andadura en la carretera de Francia, posteriormente en la calle O’Donnell y, más tarde, en Bravo Murillo a la altura del barrio de Tetuán.
“Es un ejemplo de comercio de proximidad que se reinventa y se adapta a los tiempos”, ha asegurado la concejala, quien ha agradecido la valentía de la tercera generación familiar que conduce la cestería. Con los años, el negocio que nació como espartería ha ampliado sus artículos de venta con cestería, muebles de caña y cordelería.
El segundo mejor escaparate ha sido el de la tienda de moda The Closet, mientras que la clinica Citadental ha obtenido el tercer premio.
Un certamen que crece y se diversifica
El Certamen de Escaparates Navideños va ganando peso cada año. Frente a los 23 locales inscritos en 2020, esta edición ha alcanzado más de 50 inscripciones. Además, se ha diversificado el tipo de comercio. En la primera edición eran principalmente tiendas de fotografía, peluquerías, mercerías o pastelerías. Este año también se han animado a decorar mucho y bien farmacias, zapaterías, tiendas de muebles, de productos para mascotas, herbolarios y comercios de productos sanitarios.
Labores punto y seguido y Fotografía foto y media han sido los locales que no se han perdido ni una sola edición, mientras que los establecimientos tradicionales Mercería Margallo, Calzados Penalva, Mobel K2 y Lámparas y regalos Moreno han estado presentes en dos ediciones. /
The renowned store La Cestería Lino, located in the district of Tetuán (Madrid), has been distinguished with the award of the III Contest of Christmas Windows of Tetuán. The contest was organized by the District Federation of Merchants and Professions of Tetuán, in order to reward the creativity, originality and effort with which the owners of local businesses deviate to attract customers and spread the Christmas spirit.
This was the 3rd edition of the contest, in which all the businesses of the district participated, but it was La Cestería Lino that won the award, conserving among its faithful customers the particular allure that originated it more than 60 years ago.
Their window display, designed under the motto «Christmas dreams come true», was made up of a multitude of fabrics of all kinds, from which all kinds of handmade products, from kepis to bags, were hung. With their design and colorful presentation, their window was able to attract the attention of passers-by, demonstrating with it the skill and enthusiasm of their workers to carefully select the materials and create new and beautiful articles for each season.
The award was presented to them in a special ceremony with the participation of Mrs. Ana Lopez, Mayor of Tetuán, who encouraged the winner and highlighted the commitment of merchants and professios of the district to make Tetuán live the Christmas season with lots of enthusiasm.
The award-winning store has been operating in the same premises since its foundation, more than six decades ago, and its owners proudly attribute their success to their commitment to the supervision of quality and craftsmanship. This recognition of the November Contest of Christmas Windows of Tetuán reinforces the immense pride he has been able to preserve throughout the years and serves as a reminder to all other traders that perseverance and dedication can lead to success.
