La plaza de la Armería acoge Evanescent una espectacular instalación de luz y sonido de la que ya han disfrutado cientos de madrileños y visitantes como adelanto del Festival Internacional LuzMadrid 2023. La delegada del Área de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte, Andrea Levy, ha visitado esta espectacular propuesta artística ubicada entre el Palacio Real y la Catedral de la Almudena, donde ha destacado la importancia de dar cabida a artistas que experimentan con luz y sonido para sorprender al público.
Evanescent utiliza luz natural y artificial para crear un espectáculo dinámico de coreografía colorida. Grandes burbujas cubiertas con una película diacrónica, funcionan como un lienzo, capturando los rayos de luz desde todos los ángulos y descomponiéndolos en diferentes colores. A medida que el sol brilla, la película se refracta, creando orgánicamente un jardín de esferas iridiscentes. Por la noche, la instalación cambia y las proyecciones de luz rebotan dentro de la capa reflectante de las esferas creando una experiencia completamente nueva.
Evanescent es una creación del estudio de arte australiano Atelier Sisu y estará hasta el viernes 23 de diciembre, de 12:00 a 23:00 horas en la plaza de la Armería, frente a la Catedral de la Almudena.

Madrid Music and Light Festival will be taking a step into the future with its environmental architecture project planned for LuzMadrid 2023. It is an enveloping architecture of light and sound bubbles that promises to transform the Madrid skyline into a unique and vibrant spectacle.
The project, commissioned by the Madrid City Council and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has been designed by the acclaimed architectural collective MUÑOZ + ALONSO. Using modern technology and the latest developments in sustainable construction, the team has created a vision of unexpected transparency and light.
The two iconic towers of the project will be composed of thousands of bubbles filled with light and sound. These bubbles will be electronically controlled to allow for a continuous and varied light show whose different colored tones will be able to interact with each other.
At the top of the towers, the installation will feature a large LED screen, allowing viewers to experience a 360-degree view of the colorful light show. Besides creating a magical light display, the towers will also serve as a stage for musical performances.
LuzMadrid 2023 aims to become a symbol of culture, beauty and sustainability in the city of Madrid.
